Is this new? Too pricey for the 1420 imho. You get XPS for 52k plus taxes or the the new Studio series for 45k.. but minus the video card (optional mobility radeon) , 3gb ram, 250 gb hdd etc..

@whiz..true..but im taking the 7200 rpm hdd, 1440x990 res screen and the nvgdia graphics card on this..xps for 52k is the vanilla one...same config takes the xps up to 70k..xps was my first choice..but too pricey for the config i want
..and btw, the 52k is a nett price..ai

okieee...dropped the Inspiron and got myself an XPS m1330 minus the Nvidia graphics card.....250 gb HDD, 3 gb RAM, 13.3" screen...
Stripped it off the Dell OEM Home Premium Vista full of bloatware and did a clean install of Vista Ultimate, so i can use it on a domain....so far so good...and im quite pleased with the lappy...
