hmm, need to think seriously then about vodafone. I'd be intereseted in other peoples perception of the menu speed, and text message entry speeds too, they're the two biggies.... well, those and camera usage and shutter lag...
If the only permanent key is a VF Live! button on the front I may be able to live with that.. providing they keep me on my £20/month, 12 month contract...

they may try and tell you that they only want to sell them on contract for now due to limited stock, but if you ask nicely they may let you have just the handset god willing.

I'm not impressed, the phone doesn't feel right to me. I just took a couple of photos at 5MP fine quality and auto settings on everything else. The shutter lag is very good, takes the photo straight away. Focuses quickly and analyses the picture quickly but it took 10seconds to save. 10 seconds! Instead of the 2 or 3 max that my K800 takes.
Hmmm... Maybe it's my phone in particular that's faulty. It's things like flicking left and right across the tabs in a tabbed sub-menu that's slow and very slightly jittery.
I don't mean to put anyone off, I'm just commenting on my situation. It could be a production fault, but I don't want to have to send it back and wait for a replacement, which could take weeks if Voda have already sold their first shipment stock.

I couldn't see any way through the menus of changing the colour scheme of the media manager. There might be minor changes to the colouring in different themes but on the whole, it's black and that's what you're dealt. I'm sure in a couple days/weeks/months we'll see some hack through FarManager or something similar on changing the skin of it.
Edit:
Text speed: texting seems as quick on the software side as any other SE phone but the buttons are a bit to get used to. I suppose everyone expected that. AND NO MOTION SENSOR GAME PRE-INSTALLED!!
