i don't think that anyone is mixing something up
it is well known that sony wants to work closer together with all the different branches inside the company. so the possibilty for such a cooperation wouldn't be such a huge suprise for me. but of course, till now everything is pure speculation

But I don't think there will be anything spectacular for a while yet. Maybe CES or MWC will stir this place up again though.
