All digital cameras have noise. Ive never understood how people can say one does not and another does.
The 808 has just as much noise as any other cameraphone when used in full resolution with no pureview downsampling.

Exactly
But some people here like to spend hours searching the internet for pictures that show more or less noise from a particular phone, depending on whether it's other people's phone, or their own favourite device.
Would never even think of wasting my time like this myself, prefer to have a life

Marly, it’s not a matter of getting a life, if we talk about 808 noise we must see pictures like these. By the way needs 2 minutes to search them. First crop was a 100% crop with pureview downsampling, too much easy to find noise with 808.

Wthc... You have mental problem or is illiterate ?
Can not read ? Do not know interpret a text ?
At no time said that there is no noise in the picture posted but that the existing noise this image to
ISO 1600 is more than acceptable and no other cameraphone offers such a result !
Clarified that, let the facts:
* In the
first example in
full resolution, there is no benefit of postprocessing pureview and all images work with only
1.4 microns, so no novelty in noise presented ... In summary without any credibility example, since the
magic pureview occurs in images
8, 5 and 3MP !
* In the
second example, even though in
pureview mode, the image was extremely poorly captured (
since when a picture is taken against bright light ?) And of course, the
lenses were dirty, compromising the final quality! !
So again this example has no validity !
* The
third image has a noise
very well controlled, something no other phone offers !
So this very good,
there is an example to denigrate the 808 but yes exalts it !
Finally, in the ISO speed
50 to 250 in mode pureview (
8, 5 and 3 MP), all the images captured by the 808 Pureview has
NO NOISE !
At ISO
250 to 800 pureview mode (
8, 5 and 3MP), the images show
LITTLE NOISE !
And ISO
800 to 1600 in pureview mode (
8, 5 and 3MP), the images have noise, but this
NOISE IS VERY WELL CONTROLLED and the images have
acceptable quality !
Something no other phone offers in such a situation !
Finally you is not suited to criticize any thing here because their photographic knowledge is nil... Just seeing
mediocre quality of your images !
P.S:
A picture to shut your mouth definitely

No other cameraphone in the world offers such a result... This is
fact, the rest is you !

It's getting confusing to read the 808 and 1020 threads. I can't tell the difference any more
