S22 series is so meh. Nothing interesting. Hard to say it is worth over S20.
#SonyToTheRescue
Bonus: just saw photos taken by 22 Ultra. I swear S3 can do better. Check Phone Arena. Not even XZ2P at iso51200 would be that ugly.

The S22 Ultra looks like the Xperia XZ. I really miss the alkeleido finish, I had a blue one then a silver one.

Waiting until May and selling in July would be enough to have snapdragon by TSMC?
Considering a7s3 has the 48MP locked, I would not feel surprised if xperia does same. And none will notice it is quadbayer.

Hoping Sony use snapdragon 8 Gen 1 plus from TSMC!
Sauce : Sumahodigest
Qualcomm's latest chip, the Snapdragon 8 Gen 1, will be installed in most flagship models that will be rolled out domestically in 2022, such as the Galaxy S22 series announced yesterday and the new Xperia.
The chip is known to be manufactured on Samsung's 4nm process, but there are rumors about manufacturing issues such as lower yields than before.
And this time, we have some very interesting information related to this.
Qualcomm wants TSMC to ship the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 Plus as soon as possible to replace the current Snapdragon 8 Gen1
There have been many rumors that TSMC will be responsible for manufacturing the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 or its upgrade chips and next-generation chips.
The source this time is a user who is not very familiar, but since it is a user who has about 370,000 followers on Weibo, I do not think that he is a person who leaks such sloppy information.
Also, I'm very worried about the fact that Snapdragon 8 Gen1 + is a chip that "replaces" Snapdragon 8 Gen1 .
That's because Qualcomm apparently replaces the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 + with the Snapdragon 8 Gen1 completely, rather than as a regular chipset upgrade chip like the traditional Snapdragon 800 series "+". You can read the intention to expand as .
In that case, Snapdragon 8 Gen1 may be "discontinued" early, and if that happens, users who purchased a model equipped with the unbranded Snapdragon 8 Gen1 will be considerably dissatisfied.
Then , even with the latest chip-equipped models such as Xperia 1 IV and Xperia 5 IV , it seems that there is a possibility that this Snapdragon 8 Gen 1+ will be installed instead of unmarked for models with relatively late release .
Well, no matter which model you buy in 2022, those who are considering purchasing a model equipped with SD8 Gen1 should wait until summer to autumn when the relationship between this unmarked and + will become clear. maybe.

As lng the rear panel does not copy the Pixel 6 Pro nor Galaxy S21 Ultra. Both are too ugly. I want them to be exactly a copy of Pro-i 😍.
Nobody has review of Pro. I still do not know how it deals with heat.

Xperia Pro: good
Xperia Pro-I: very bad, worst than 1III. Optimal to use on weather less than 30C
I have issues with it when I go to tropical countries
Turn on airplane mode and NFC off, much better result. I suspect bad software (they have dynamic thermal management) and bad hardware optimizations

No surprise when gsmarena says Pro-i does
4K@60 at 120Mbps. This is the bitrate of
4K@120 out of 1iii.
Anyway, people that had chance to deal with 2015 flagships can handle SD888 and 8G1 easily.
Bravia got LCD Triluminos. Then Xperia too.
Bravia got oled. Then xperia too.
Bravia has miniLED.
Should I have any hope? I do not like oled.
