If the low amount of available memory turns out to be true I'm going to strongly consider motorola's e398. The live pictures don't look bad.

Motorola's phones, hardware wise have always been ok. The major problem I had with Moto was the UI, it was horrible. I recently tried the E365, it hasn't improved much. The current Nokia (s) and SE UI is far superior. Haven't tried Samsung yet.
I do think (hope) the lack of memory reported by Eldar was due to a prototype model. If in reality only 12MB is available for the end user, I would have to consider hanging on for the T610/T630 follow on model, with *supposedly* 64MB and MSDuo, and the 1.3Megapixel cam thrown in. Only problem, this model is sure to be a lot more expensive than the K700.

that's a845 and do you really need the 850mhz band (i think that's the only difference)? because a835 is already out and i have to say it's a big moth*rfu*ker!

It would not be smart of them to advertise 32Mb and only support 12mb
It will probably have more on the final product
I also want to believe that there is going to be a "T650" model with ms duo and better cam

If you read the K700 review on mobile-reviews website it mentions a new version with memory card and megapixel camera for Sept (not the S700)

theres just one thing i dont understand here.... why the f**k do you need more than 12mb for a phone that only takes pics a 640x480 and lower quality video...ok its suports mp3 , but if it doesnt accept external memory, its useless (suposing that it will have 32mb).
this is ur problem,all these things make the phone more expensive,if you want a better phone, buy the s700,but you cant expect SE to make a middle-range priced phone the best on the market (thats what they bring phones like z1010 and s700 for)!!
