I have just updated my K850, and Sony Ericsson has definitely been working on this firmware release, that’s for sure! It’s much faster in general, no more lagging in Media, new effects and much faster working in Media, 3D games in particular run much more smooth now. The camera has been much improved as well, and same goes for video recordings. Another fine new feature is that you can set the phone to vibrate when using the touch sensitive buttons - this works quite well.
Now for some technical stuff. The K850 firmware is called R1EA031, and is not a major release.

But should be soon. It's really safe, i have done with my old K800i, and i've done with my K850i, pay via paypal, the best is that you only have to do once then you can use SEUS.
Should only do a back up first. Becouse you lost all info. But all de default (games, pictures, ringtones...) stay.
I probably will give Da Vinci a go then..that is if the new firmware is upp in a day or two
Can i see in the firmware version in my phone witch versio i should flash with? I'm on Nordic 1200-4400 R1EA031 unbranded.

i paid davi to unbrand mine was on 38 but debranded to 37 again and done a master reset then used sues to update to latest one all in all worth the £8 so i can get future updates
