Fudzilla is an anti apple mock site but the core news is accurate. The title is a bit misinterpreted or might be done on purpose to be a click bait.

I am waiting for a device with minimum bezel and supports pen function and has a screen size of 6.2 to 6.5 inches. Would be an ideal workhorse.
SE p910i was the last best device that SE came out with...

But I hope for your sake Sony eventually makes such a device.

Z Ultra has pen input support. And there was special pen (ES22) for it.

Sony admits that it hasn’t moved fast enough in mobile
Sony reiterated that it will be double-downing on 5G technology, and enhance its offerings by leveraging the rest of Sony’s product portfolio. It will also look to Europe as a key region to grow its offering, by further developing partnerships with carriers. Let’s hope Sony uses its self-awareness to offer competitive products in the very near future.

I am still waiting for its successor. Been almost 5 years.

Market research US smartphone market 18Q1 from Counterpoint
1 Apple iPhone 8 (64GB)
2 Apple iPhone X (64GB)
3 Apple iPhone X (256GB)
4 Apple iPhone 8 Plus (64GB)
5 Apple iPhone 8 (256GB)
6 Samsung Galaxy S8 (64GB)
7 Apple iPhone 7 (32GB)
8 Samsung Galaxy S8+ (64GB)
9 Samsung Galaxy Note 8 (64GB)
10 Lenovo Moto E
The market has dominated by carriers's pick and subsidies, answer is obvious.
Even Pixel the most extravaganza Android of them all, has 1% marketshare, what do you really expect from Sony then?

Speaking of Z Ultra, I think it fell into the same category of ZL
which intended to test the water and how market reacted to it
Unfortunately, Only Z design has been choose to make forward.
Samsung has much heavily invested into digital pen technology from Wacom based
No other company in smartphone arena now can catching them fast enough.
Only deep pocket like Apple Pencil and Microsoft Surface Pen maybe?

Z ultra was ahead of its time. Now is the time for such a product.
They could cut down the bezels and make the display 4K with stereo speakers.
Include a keyboard case like surface series, pen and so on.
So much potential.
It literally hurts me that Sony won't release a successor. I enjoyed that phone so much. Took meeting notes, watched movies on my way to work/home.
It was so thin, had landscape homescreen support, I would put it on its dock near my work computer and had the SBH bluetooth headset with it. I really miss it.
Best piece of hardware I have ever owned. I even bought it's power bank case with stylus. I still hope one day we'll have a successor and I will buy it the day it hits the shelves.
Good old days...
