rofpmpl @ Brix! *Ye cannae win, laddie, sayeth the Deity of the Lotto™... Nay, forsooth, verily it shall be won by The Chosen One®... *
@DrThug, at my workplace i've a colleague who's cricket-crazy, and the behaviour you mention (analysis of past games down to the brand of underwear worn by players, etc) sounds exactly like my colleague!
ps @Brix, did you know the Lotto Deity was Scottish? Just found out myself...
pps Brix, i'm not sure, but i think you can get Reuters to mail the headlines, breaking news, etc directly to you as well. Will check it out when i finish these few scripts. 240 to be exact

It's times like these when i tell myself i should've followed my instincts and become a male stripper

Jy gaan wen, my ma se kind!
Interesting topic came up earlier while exchanging PMs with Clarence, my Singaporean buddy. I mentioned that i'd dearly love to buy a new car to replace my 88 jalopy, preferably the same make and model, but that it would take at least my entire gross salary for a year to do so. His reply was that the same applied in Singapore, except that the government there had implemented a measure to reduce the number of cars on the road by making it compulsory to acquire a Certificate of Entitlement before one could buy a car. The cost of said Certificate... Wait for it....
ONE YEAR'S SALARY!!! Mind-blowing, to say the very least... Makes me wish we had a public transport system half as efficient as theirs...

I'm not going to talk about cars cause I don't own one and don't plan buying one soon.
Right now I'm chilling by my lonesome at the weekly karaoke evening at one of my favourite bars/restaurants on Long Street.

I see that etv is in hot water with Parliament because of their failure to attend a hearing on pornography... Seems like the State is finally waking up and realizing how harmful those advertisements are...

The other day the Broadcasting Complaints Commission ruled against them for airing those ads after 10pm when they should've been aired after 11pm.
An acquiantance who used to work at e.tv said profit is the only motif at the station...Do you know how many bucks they make screening late-night porn? Gazillions, apparently the movies takes the lions share of ratings at that time of night.
BTW, just downloaded King Kong...nice game and I'm looking forward to the movie next month.

Did you guys ever get to see Lord of War,starring Nicholas Cage?
An interesting tale, apparently based on true events, about the world of gun-running/military hardware/weapons trafficking.
Not that we're into any form of war-mongering,but the whole expose' of covert dealings that go on and the motives that are behind these is indeed food for thought...although many of us knew about how confiscated drug and arms money is used to fund many other clandestine operations within certain governments and regimes...

@da wanqsta: Lord of War hasn't been released in Emzansi yet, it was actually shot on location in Cape Town last year.
I'm not a great fan of Nicholas Cage but will check it out when it opens here.
@da krypsta: Graphics for King Kong are smoother then for instance other titles from Gameloft.
30 minutes ago I got off the phone to PR-poppie working for Motorola and they invited me to the launch of the Pink Rzr. Why couldn't they just release the Baby Phat version in SA?
