even though i cancelled my order with mphone, according to my bank the payment is still pending! which caused my expansys order to be declined as just had enough in the account for the p990!
bloody mphone! luckily ive got a credit card,so i just put it on that.but i wont be happy if the money comes out for mphone too(according my bank it could take a few days to drop off my account,but i cancelled my order on the 10th!)

600 pound for a cellphone ?!?! Wtf - you people are either very rich or very sick or both. And that for a device with yester-year's specs ! I think I am out of here for a while - greetings from South Africa.
LOL its price you pay for the latest phones fool

, i havent a problem shelling out £600 on a phone..seeing as already this month i have bought the k800i for £300 and the m600i for another £300 but the m600i is going back for a refund.
Yes im filthy rich but thats all due to the past 10 yrs of blood, sweat and tears and almost making myself bankrupt in the process.
So do me a favour and kindly refrain from calling me sick, if you feel that £600 is alot then wait till the prices come down but you will be waiting an awful long time.

Mario, what a silly post!
You've been round long enough to know it's not just a cellphone, I'm niether rich nor sick yet I fully intend to upgrade to a p990 with Orange for around £100-£150, when they have eventually finished spoiling it with Orange firmware!
Anyway, what price would you expect to buy a device that is;
a reasonable 2mp camera that can send the pics via about 6 different methods;
a 4GB mp3 player;
a very functional portable office;
an email machine;
touchscreen with perfectly workable HW recognition;
a portable high quality video device capable of playing full movies;
a reasonable portable games system;
do you want me to go on?

Hmmm interesting there Dicky, i cancelled my order this morning with them...rung them and they said to send an email which i did. About a hr ago i got a confirmation email saying they have cancelled the order off their system.
I hope they havent charged me £540 or at least i hope it hasnt gone through yet.

i rung them too,and they also told me to send them an email.
Which i did,and they confirmed - "Your order has been cancelled as requested and deleted from our system. "
that was 4 days ago now,and according to my bank,its still showing!

I can provide an explanation here as I just had a fraud prevention call from HSBC due to "large online spending" on my card

over the last couple of days - one of the things they wanted to confirm was mphone in addition to Expansys (and Clove.co.uk for the HTC TyTN I ordered). I queried mphone saying that I cancelled the order, but was told I'd need to speak to them personally.
So I phoned mphone and the explanation is that when you authorise your card through their Protx payment gateway it automatically "earmarks" funds against your card although technically it doesn't actually charge you. Mphone confirmed my order was cancelled and said the "earmarked" funds would automatically return onto my card balance either today or tomorrow.
Personally I think its a dubious practice as despite them saying "we haven't actually debited your card" as far as I and my card company are concerned the money has gone since it is no longer available on my card. Will keep an eye on it however over the next couple of days...
