This is a little of topic but still interesting

Ddaily, a web site that is in both Samsung's and LG's home country, says that the reason for the lack of that 13MP camera on Sammy's model is because Sony could not come up with enough 13MP CMOS sensors to satisfy Samsung's demand. Considering the success of the original model, which sold more than 10 million units, Samsung would need more of the part than the Japanese manufacturer could deliver at the time.

So how did LG secure enough 13MP CMOS sensors from Sony? Apparently, LG's LG Innotek division had been purchasing 13MP CMOS sensors from Sony since the ball dropped in Times Square signaling the start of 2012. And while Sony is looking to expand its capacity to build the 13MP CMOS sensor, it will obviously come too late for the Samsung GALAXY Note II.

Sony is making the camera sensors for major phone manufacturers.

Just want to let you know, SONY also makes sensor for other DSLR company, such as Nikon and Pentax. I mean, SONY is one of leaders of image sensors.

alright..

so i've decided i'm gonna get something cheaper/older now and wait for the 2H 2013 line before i upgrade to a true flagship device, but i simply can't make up my mind on which cheaper/older model to get. here are my choices..

Xperia S - early year flagship at $399 USD

Xperia P - solid device, has whitemagic screen, aluminum unibody at $340 USD

Xperia Acro S - basically an xperia V with S3 processor and different screen but is still at a whopping $600 USD for some reason.

All prices are from newegg.com and while I would love the acro S, i don't think spending $600 on it would really be woth it considering i could just wait a month or two and get the Xperia T. So, it's basically between the Xperia S and P. I like the P but at the same time for $60 more i feel like the extra features of the S are worth the money.

Any recommendations my fellow esato members?

I like Xperia P, but I would choose Xperia S...

Thought personally, I'll go for Xperia T it's only matter of a month..

the whole reason is to spend a few hundred less on a phone this year and then get a flagship 2H 2013...

that's why T isn't an option cause it'll probably be a $600+ phone since i'm not up for upgrade with my provider.

S and P will be $200 or more less and are both solid phones. just can't decide if $60 for the S is worth it or if the P is sufficient and possibly a better bang for the buck.

I was talking about my personal choice, as my contract will end this month, next month I have to go for another one and will choose Xperia T, I hope by that time it will be available... the total will cost less compared to my current contract currently I'm paying $103/month, but then I'll pay $66.3/month... it was all because I have a separate contract for my original phone bill, data bill and phone bill !!
