I agree famous12. In this day and age, where every Nokia S60 phone has QuadBand GSM/EDGE, SE should feel ashamed to put out the G700/G900 with no EDGE or 850.

if anyone does not remember the specs of the nexperia philips PNX4008 chip used on the P1/P990, they were mentioned here:
http://www.esato.com/board/viewtopic.php?topic=113468&start=15
again...no more than 4mp cameras supported, 30fps video recording only for CIF (not QVGA like the G900)

i think what he meant was QCIF which is 176 x 144 in resolution.
Ares is right.
Razec also mentions that p1/p990 can and will not support capturing photos more than 4mp in resolution

I agree with my fellow American posters. No quad-band GSM with EDGE for UIQ devices is pretty pathetic. If the Pnext is released without quadband GSM with EDGE and tri-band HSDPA, I'll be very disappointed.
It's bad enough we in the states have to purchase hi-end SE phones through ebay or 3rd party retailer. We'd at least want the phone to support our networks. It is the largest market in the world, wouldn't proper business sense make you want to cater to it in order to be successful?

i dont kno much, but still g900 should have got 330mhz processor!!...208 is too less for a device being release in q2 or later of 2008.

it doesn't have that 208mHz processor.
otherwise g900 wouldn't have 5mp cam

I agree.
However, with the precedent set by the X1 with both quadband EDGE and HSUPA, I'd be very surprised if the P5, which is supposed to be a complement phone, doesn't also have support for these frequencies.
I'd also be surprised if BeiBei, with the call and end keys, also doesn't have at least quadband EDGE.

Can anyone give me an idea why se keep rehashing the not-so-good,old uiq platform than introduce something newer.
Hardware is old (speaking in terms of mobile industry),so is software.
