Xugaa: we got your post first time, please dont triple post. especially that braindead sentence "NO PROBLEMS WHATSOEVER". there are plenty of bugs. just because you dont have them or dont see them, you dont have to shout it every day.

Don't you think that every "faster", "louder", "brighter" etc. leads to considerable draining of power from battery?
I belive this is quite logically.

Thank you for your comments. I write & debug software for a living so I completely understand what you are saying, however the difference I noticed is a *tad* extreme and I was wondering if anyone else had similar problems.

I think SE created more and worse firmware problems in the process of fixing it. The battery life is compromised for brighter screen and higher earpieces volume. The Walkman sound quality might be traded off for reduction in noise & etc. I regret upgrading from R1L002 to R1A008 and I think SE should give us the option to flash our phone back to previous BETTER firmwares.

Your battery problems seem pretty extreme, and I would have imagined that everyone would be going ballistic if it were a common issue with the firmware.
As I mentioned before, I would try to sort the issue by things like:
a) Performing a Master Reset
b) Re applying the new firmware on your phone
c) Reformatting your MS
There is something certainly wrong with your phone's configuration if it is behaving that way!

I have had a BUG with the new firmware that I was just wondering has anyone else had. The little WAP symbol i.e. blue globe keeps randomly appearing when i am not using GPRS at all. I then have to go into mobile accounts and close the connection to get rid of it.
