On thing Sony should/need to update is the resolution of the stills while recording a video 1MP just won't cut it on a flagship and it is a feature I use often but get let down buy the poor image quality. It does'nt need to be 20.7MP quality even 5MP would do. If Samsung and HTC can do it then surely Sony can with the Z1.

Does anybody have heat problem with the Z1? My Z1 was burning last night, had over 47°C, with min. brightness, was just watching youtube clips over WiFi. Then I have decided to turn the phone in standby that it can take breath... Also in normal using I've noticed its always too warmer/hoter than the Z, about + 5 till 8 °C more in same situation... WHY???

Do any of you guys get a wireless streaming symbol over the screen whilst watching a video on youtube but streaming to bluetooth headphones? I do on my Z and it's dead annoying.

Which firmware for the Z1 is this?
14.1.C.0.467_9_f310
is it specific for the Japanese Z1?

@king-james - mine doesn't feel incredibly hot anymore even when playing games for awhile or watching videos. yes it does get warm but not crazy hot. i've never had a Z to compare though. but it is definitely not anywhere to the level that I would ever worry. my macbook power adapter gets much, MUCH hotter for example.
@goldenface - no idea what you're talking about so I'm gonna go with no.
@xperiajunkie - what feature are you referring to? i don't think i've ever even tried doing that..

@moogoo when you record a video you can take still photos at the same time by pressing the on screen shutter key. As you will see the maximum resolution of the still is only 1MP last years HTC One X could do the same but with full resolution stills (8MP I think). Give it a try let me know if you find out how to use it.

@xperiajunkie - so i gave it a try. it just takes a frame from the 1080p video stream so the snapshot is actually 1080p resolution, which is about 2mp, not 1mp. 8mp would be 4K UHD (4 times 1080p resolution or 2mp * 4 = 8mp).
I think this is an EASY way to get a snapshot. I'm unsure how other companies would produce a higher resolution snapshot from a video stream unless it's a 4K stream, which as we know, only the note 3 has right now. Do they record everything as 8mp resolution then downgrade to 1080p to be encoded to video on the fly? Like I said, i don't know as i'm not too knowledgeable about the particulars of it.
