Thanks to P1i, when it backups contacts it backups as vcf file.
Sony Ericsson Sync service is horrible.
I never had a problem when using via my P1i but It couldn't transfer my contacts properly to X10.

How to transfer contacts from iPhone 3GS 32GB to Xperia X10.
But this probably works for all kinds of phones that can sync with outlook.
I exported contacts that I had synchronised with my macbooks Adressbook to a vCard file, then
I imported them to Outlook Express, had to adjust the swedish characters, and then exported all contacts
to a CSV file.
Then I copied the CSV file to the root of the X10 memory card and imported the file
via the Contacts import function on the phone.
244 contact imported OK.
And no need to use google mail, SE Sync or anything else.
But you need to install SE PC companion to access the memory card in the phone.

I bought the xperia x10i n really love it. though some problems arise and some things I think would be better, hoping that the upcoming software update/upgrade would includes just some of these:
-longer battery life. it uses alot of power, even in locked mode most of the time, with wifi, bluetooth off. also tried to exit any apps I had running, but still...
- media buttons on locked screen when playing music in locked mode. so I can just change "next", "previous", or pause or play without having to unlock it all the time when music is playing while it's locked.
- Delete/move media files and folders, in batches, in mediascape. without needing to delete them one by one.
- in Mediascape, playing from playlist, when opening the playlist, have it open where the current song is, instead of starting in the beginning of the list everytime. for example, in a playlist of over 1000 songs, if the current song is number 745, I wanna play a song within that range, when I open up the playlist, it would pop up in that area, not from the beginning, cause then I would need to scroll down 700 songs to just play a song within 5-10 songs. It's really usefull especially when I play in shuffle mode, then I can locate a song faster and easier, more convenient.
just some things I want sony ericsson to notice and help makes it easier.
also, been wondering how can I use flash on the camera, there's only Photo light and that stays on, I want to activate/deactive flash, but cannot find that option.
-Also, I just realize that the xperia x10 didn't have any notes app. Today, I tried to write/type a note so I remember, but realized that there isn't a note-type apps. I could've type on the calendar, but still, no notes, or there is but I can't find it...
I hope that's included in the next update/upgrade, or if there's already, hoping someone can teach me.

they're tough as old boots so the screens' safe !!
I'll let you know about the PDair case ... mine's on the way (some that are advertised as fitting
the X10 DON'T - the Bugatti one for example !)
