@hashmukh_pun
In the 10k range, the best Nokia phone is 6630. It has all the features like good camera(even though its 1.3MP, it's very clear),EDGE,3G,s60 Os which supports 3rd party symbian applications, music(not loud though) etc......
But the colour depth is not good. But its okay. Very stable software.
@jack
Dude, my two friends are having 6233. It's not a good phone. Too many software bugs+s40 os. Its design is also not impressive. So in my opinion, 6233 is not recommendable.

yaar why r u going for a lptp with vista support???
more cost for nothing!
in my opinion,buy an ordnry one nd make it vista
supported on the contrary, upgrading later would be costlier... and then there are warranty issues...

Hey guys, did anyone of you read the economic times. It says that bsnl is working towards providing free broadband connection from 2009 with speeds of 8mbps. Its working on the pattern of providing connection free on the pattern of municipal connections like in us. This news featured as an headline.

@hac & jing..... for laptops let me tell you dell rocks in all depts.... their build quality and excellent customer support is something which stands out than anyone else..... in terms of features dell is the same like the other contenders..... the only down side about dell is their price......
2nd best would be Hp..... the best thing abt hp is that they are reasonably priced but still offer all the features u would get in a high end dell model......
most of the laptops from leading manufactures u get today are vista enabled so no need to worry. but in case if u don't know for vista support make sure u get atleast 1gb 533 or 667mhz ram,cpu intel centrino core2duo or amd turion64 with 667mhz fsb... regarding the graphics card the only thing u have to make sure is that its an nvidia 7 or 8 series or an ati xradeon series with directx 9.1c shader model2.0 enabled.......
the only thing u can upgrade in a laptop would be its ram or any addons u can expand through pcmcia slots......

@ jack_spicer, fun2sh
dude i am also looking for one in the 40k range. As far as i have checked,
there are some quite good ones in the 40k range in HP. Regarding vista support, i just need the right hardware to run windows vista home premium.. But for vista ultimate edition(aero 3d experience), i think it requires a rather high configuration at around 60K .. The minimum configuration I am looking for is :
Procesor : Pentium class M, or AMD turion 64 bit
Ram : 512 MB
HD : 80 GB
Video card : 128 MB with pixel shading
removable : DVD combo drive
Monitor : 15"
@hack_king
dude i think video card cannot be upgraded . but HD, RAM and removable drive can be upgraded later... What is ur minimum requirement??
@se7an
Ok i just got a few contacts in salem for HP. I ll also check out some outlets in chennai when i go there next week.
