Last tuesday,i watchd mission x ch2.I was really surprised in one of their episodes:PHP100 FOR NOKIA 5110 IMEI REPLACEMENT.at sa mga mall pa.So those IMEI reports for blocking become USELESS. Now how secure are SE IMEIs for accessing them?i hope those access are TOP SECRET to SE alone and its AUTHORIZD service pts(SEM,SESS,SMRTNET,MEMO/SE) just in case. Please comment gentlemen! @ynohtna: dnt be afraid coz what u had seen was a nokia unit and u can't blame on us(servce points) coz it's our govt like NTC to run after them right??? we can assure that semicon will not tolerate any service like changing of imei that's why we are very strict when it comes to repair we usually ask o.r. everytime you guys leave your phone for repairs tnx

ynohtna- just to add info on it, there are three ways which people can check the phone's IMEI (talkin about Nokia).

1.serial sticker on the phone's back frame
2.*#06# secret code (everyone knows it so its not a secret anymore)
3.secret code for checkin the phone's manufacturing date and IMEI also (some may know the code some may not, so it's still a secret for some. sorry, can't squill it out)

the first two could be changed but the third one could be impossible. i've encountered several units bearing different IMEI's when checkin it through no.2 and no.3.
