Hmmm..Downloaded the new update service, ran the update...but my W800 still says Im on R1N035 ?! Tried numerous times, still no joy. Firmware still says R1N035. Anyone else had this? Any ideas? I dunno how to get it to upgrade. Turned off all firewalls ect. It 'downloads' update and says its 'transfuring' to phone....Help!
PS, Im on T-mobile in the UK - if that has anything to do with it!

@Scorpio72 :

can you explain to me how and from where you downloaded the certificate and how it was downloaded to the K750i, through USB cable or BT. i will be gr8ful if you can guide me through the process.

Following is the list of SSL certificates available on the link that you metioned, which one of these will do. Moreover, they are not free

Enterprise SSL™
QuickSSL®
QuickSSL® Premium
True BusinessID®
Power Server ID™
Wild Cards
GeoRoot™
High Volume Solutions
Microsoft Small Business Server™ 2003

Please ink out the whole procedure through which we can update our phones and avoid future encryption errors. Please keep in mind, i am not a computer guy

thanx in advance!

@SE7:

I had the same problem with Gmail. Download
https://www.geotrust.com/reso[....]cure_Certificate_Authority.cer
to your PC and then copy it over to your phone by using Bluetooth. The phone will recognize what it is and ask if you want to save it if you do not already have it listed in your phone.

Updated to R1AA008.

I notice that my speakerphone volume got lowered during conversations. I use to have it close to max, and it was really loud, now I have it on maximum, and have the desire to turn it louder.

I start to notice a problem with this new firmware. When someone tries to whisper to me over the phone, I barely can hear what they said. I even tried calling myself and I can't hear anything if I speak really soft. It's clear if the caller started to talk real loud. This is really crap and defeat the purpose of a phone.. I'm not some programmer but how can they patch some hole at one side but create another at other side? Sorry to say but I'm really disappointed.

I think R1N035 was the best firmware for me.

@SE7:

USB works as well. Open SE File Manager and copy'n'paste the certificate file directly to the top-level phone folder (not the Phone Memory folder).

I Updated last night to R1AA008 from R1N035 and this is my first impression :

All the update process was a success !

- Fast menu navigation
- Louder in every output (internal, external)
- Sounds clearer in MP3
- Hissing (Blank Noise)/cuts can be heard when in call not cause the
signal (5/5 on both sides) when volume is set to low (yesterday !
cause today, there was no hissing at all in every call ! hope it will go
on like this) (maybe the earphone has calibrated it self ???)
- Retrieving my Yamigo !!! after have lost it with R1N035
- A lot of blank noise in Radio ! Big Bug 1!
- Same speed in zooming/rotating pictures
- Very low volume in Calendar/Reminder ! Big Bug 2!
- Incorrect parameter in USB ! Worked arround with Reinstalling drivers
and formating the memory with Windows XP format command (FAT)
(Never had any problem with USB PC before R1AA008)
- No more rebootings when taking picture with Visual Communicator !
- No more rebootings randomly when using the phone
- Still hanging (rarely) when quitting GPRS (since bought R1L002)
- Still rarely freezing when in Bluetooth transferts

After all, except the hissing and the low volume on the reminder and calendar, i dont regret updating to R1A008 but, still waiting for another update to correct those bugs !

Another thing that I wanna see on my phone, and wish it to any K750/W800 users is, the option on the Authorizations in Java applications, that could let the application access the system file read/write without asking us everytime it access a file, annoying us ! this will be a big progress SE can make for us !

I have upgraded now and never find any bugs
byz

One big problem for me (i am from greece) is that updating to R1AA008 caused a BUG in the SMS editor. I am no longer able to write lowercase Greek letters. Another BUG that was already there and that is known with all SE phones is that SE doesn't include a "final lowercase S" ('ς' I also had the "Parameter incorrect" problem but i just formatted the MS and now it seems to work fine.
I still have problem with battery charging, it just doesn't fully charge. Hoped that the f/w update would have fixed that, but it didn't.

P.S. How can i perform a master reset of the phone and what will be the loss?
