Refined for sure but not nothing exciting. Somehow the smooth rounded sides don't feel very sony like and more nokia like.
The rear is either plastic in this photo or the glass has been frosted or something applied to it to make it more fingerprint friendly. Unless that is just the photo and the rear is again full glass and fignerprint unfriendly.

So it looks like they've done away with the metal / shiny side inserts. I like that look, like on the T3. The Z3 looks a lot plainer. Right now, until further pics come along, I sort of prefer the look of the Z2

I say its the best of Z1 and Z2, it took the Z1 full metal frame and Z2 rounded trim best of each one. Z2 frame isnt full metal, it got some kind of plastic + aluminum melted in. Rounded edges makes the phone easier to hold.

Dig the sides, reminds me a bit of what the Nokia N8 and E7-00 looked like on the side, looks like it's going to be very palm friendly compared to the previous Z phones.
