I dunno what I have done but since I was trying to get my Gmail settings to work. My internet icon in the menu (instead of PlayNow) has changed its name to email. Might have to master reset soon.

Following on from my earlier post :
[Hmmm..Downloaded the new update service, ran the update...but my W800 still says Im on R1N035 ?! Tried numerous times, still no joy. Firmware still says R1N035. Anyone else had this? Any ideas? I dunno how to get it to upgrade. Turned off all firewalls ect. It 'downloads' update and says its 'transfuring' to phone....Help!
PS, Im on T-mobile in the UK - if that has anything to do with it!]
I just checked the software-data folder folder where the update downloads to before updating to the phone...but the two files in there end in R1N035. Thats the firware my phone already has! Why am I unable to download the newer firmware? Anyone got any ideas?
I have exactly the same problem!!!
It looks like there are lot more users of K750, so that's why we don't get answer...
I'm on EU_1 or EMEA_2...
@mwarner
Could you be more specific about f/w region and release dates??? Cause it is obvious that EU_1 region still has only R1N035 f/w update available for w800i, as you have stated that new f/w is available when it is not.
I also very much appreciate your help here!!!

I still get the R1N firmware with SEUS2 and a Vodafone branded K750i in Europe 2. Was anyone with a Vodafone K750i able to upgrade to R1AA?

My K750 can't activate cookies even if it's set to ON ? Can't access m.gmail.com, cause cookies aren't activated. I set it back off then on : same thing ! Is it a bug or only me?

Modified the first post to remove the suggestion that zooming and rotating pictures is faster with R1AA. I have performed some experiments with multiple K750s and have shown that this is not the case.
Additionally noted that T-Mobile phones currently update to R1N035.
@speak2al
"I did the Master reset, MS format re-firmware thing & the phone seems a lot faster now & my battery bar hasn't dropped much since yesterday. Cheers again for that. "
Excellent. Glad to be of service

@mwarner, your note in the first post is not quite accurate.
- BUG: Some users are reporting increased background noise during phone calls. < It's not background noise, it's static and stuttered sound. And it only happens on the phone itself, if you use a handsfree it goes away.

Bug with R1AA008 :
- I've got problem with the UP of the joystick, it don't work correctly and it work sometimes like an "escape button" or a "confirmation button".
Never had this bug with the R1N035 before.
