rbordley,
i first tried to backup and it froze @ 99%, i disconnected phone and than it asked me to save, and that made me loose credit, second time i reconnected it just set there @ 99% when i was backing up and i desided to just flash anyway ( praying that battery would be same as it was), because i have 2 friends with same exact phones because we bought them at same time from amazon. now everything fine but bluetooth

, i still have cable that i converted to flash cable and i'll just have to undo it back to data, but i was planning on getting bluetooth headset, now i'm not sure

, if i get it and it won't work it'll suck !
yup, that's the problem I ran into with the THAI client, backing up doesn't seem to work anymore and stops - doesn't show the save as prompt (made me lose logs too).. I do know the backup works with a different client as I was able to do so with the unlocking client I got from LogosUnlimited (was also version 6.52)..
I do know that Unlocking has a new version of the client (they state you should e-mail them and they will send it to you)..
Have any of you guys tried to backup your firmwares using LVWireless's client 6.52 client?

I just flashed my phone and I'm happy to say it's working (I have not tested BT yet, but I will soon and post the results.
Phone type: T68MC R2A hardware (previously upgraded to T68ie R2B025).
Just flashed using 6.52 of the EricsClient, credits from Adam Roth (gsmphonesource.com).
Upgraded to version R5D007(ie), using the AVR and ARM file method.
Standy time is unaffected!

I have the T68i, R2A (02W10) of the hardware and the original R2A014 firmware. When flashed to R5D007, no matter the source or flashing method, I get low standby times.

BT works fine though.

well i just finished flashing my phone and......
IT WORKED JUST FINE !!!! I ACTUALLY GAINED TALKTIME.
"T68m - R4C - R2B013"....to..."T68i - R4C - R5D007"
285 hours Standby ...to... 257 hours Standby
6 hrs 35 min Talktime ...to... 10 hrs 25 min Talktime
Tried Bluetooth with a Sony bluetooth memorystick and my Sony Clie.
Send and receive work just fine. Have also tried this with another T68i,
works just fine. No bluetooth headset to test with though. Thanks for everyones help and advice.

mrj82 ,
i have also noticed that my phone now says "T-Mobile" instead of "Voicestream". could this firmware have come from a "T-Mobile" ?
I also hve reception (3 bars) in places where i only had (1 bar) !
Oh yeah... Gotta give praise to VIRTUALDYNAMIX. got my logs online via msn instant messenger....very fast service

I'm pretty sure it didn't, I also think thats just dependent on the sim card. I mean my sim says voicestream on it, it said voicestream before I flashed, and it says powertel in my nokia 8290. So I really have no clue but I'd bet on the sim being the answer. Like maybe when you first put it in the phone for the first time it downloads the carrier's name? And sticks with it? maybe cuz it was powertel with my 8290, then voicestream when I got my t68, and now t-mobile after flashing so thats my theory.

that sounds right...but i had a new "t-mobile" sim. when powered on my phone would say "welcome to t-mobile" but the screen would display "voicestream". now i have "t-mobile" everywhere. strange?
i also noticed that in the flashing instrux..it says that if it stops at 99% it's fine. mines went to 100%. does that extra 1% make a difference ?

I don't think so but mine went to 100%. I have yet to try out bluetooth yet. I haven't even tried since I've had the phone for that matter.
