Before the new fw I couldnt open some downloaded mp4 files. I asked mysh (m3 app creator) and his answer was:
MP4 is a container format, it's like a box for video and audio data.
If they weren't in a box together, your computer or phone wouldn't know to play video and audio both together at once and in sync.
The MP4 container can hold different video data formats such as MPEG-4 Simple Profile, MPEG-4 Advanced Simple Profile, and MPEG-4 AVC.
Your P990 only supports MP4 files containing video data written in MPEG-4 Simple Profile, and that is why some MP4 files won't play - the video data is in the wrong format for the phone.
Hopefully that makes sense.
With the latest fw I can open any mp4 file so far, so it is a great improvement:)

I cannot get any H264 format mp4s to play on my p990i.
i have to convert them with quicktime first to normal format mp4.
as soon as i tick h.264, they won't open on the p990i.
i always get an error message that the file cannot be opened.
does anyone else get this error or just me?

close-ups work ok but as soon as i take a landscape shot i get blurred spots on the photo and after cleaning the lens with a cotton bud, i'm still getting them..

With seus can I downgrade firmware? The BlackBerry aplication don't work with new release, and I need them.
