the changing of the theme to the laser one on that voda k850i seems weird, its changed the colour of icons, but they're still the vodafone branded ones.... for example, the "games" icon should be of a PS controller....

I'd never go with Vodafone, have you seen there 12 month contract deals, the poorest I've seen i think. And to top it off they mess about with the phone's software, bad show by Vodafone. You'd have thought they'd have listened to there customers by now wouldnt you.

The only reason i stay with them is because i have 2 handsets, both with Anytime 75 + 50% Extra Minutes + 500 texts for £20 a month (each) - for me, thats the sweet spot of minute and texts, and for £20 a month per handset..
If i move to 02, then its £35/month and wasted calls and texts each month.

It doesnt have flash themes from what i can tell.
It may already be common knowledge but i was suprised it has a light/torch! Happy that they have added this after dropping it from the k800!

Do you reckon it's the crappy Voda firmware or a problem with the phone? From my experience the firmware shouldn't make a huge difference in the speed performance unless they've really done something crazy with it and the hardware... it could be a couple of different things that are malfunctioning enough to slow it down but not render it dead.

Is this the area you mean?
I'm not sure what you mean by 'post a photo (non Vodafone branded)' I only have access to my phone and it is Vodafone branded. I've not tried SEUS for an unbranded update but I have a strong feeling it won't do it for me.
