The c702's video playback is perfectly fine, i'm even using 176*144 3gps , streched to fullscreen theylook perfectly fine, so qvga @ 30fps would look great, if your buying this phone just for video playback, then surely a nokia n series or iphone or some crap would suit you better, the C702 was built the for the camera and the camera is does very well.

Hi, i'd like to know:

1) Does the keyboard soften up a little with some time of use?
2) Is the D-Pad uncomfortable or does it become easier to use with time?
3) Can Videos be played fullscreen in landscape mode?
4) Does the media section differ in something else than SenseME from the W Series? (i.e.: Playlist composing, music player interface)

Thanks in advance and sorry for the many questions posted at once...

The keypad doesnt soften up but your get used to it
After 2years of joysticks the d-pad felt great to use,
Yes everything can be viewed in fullscreen landscape mode,
Yep the media differs theres no senseme but its got everything you'd actually use, and sound is good.

Many thanks Number1!!! I really appreciate that you took the time to answer... so i would just be missing SenseME (I must admit that that feature kind of attract me...)... Sound is good, via the speaker, the headphones or both?...

Have you answered a call by mistake (unknowingly) while the phone is in your pocket?, or does the keyboard lock prevents this from happening (this issue really worries me, coming from a clamshell form factor)...

Thanks again...

The keyboard lock prevents that quite well. Never had one happening to me actually.

I read somewhere that this phone has or had a problem in which when you answer a call there is a 5 second pause until you or the caller hears anything. Is this true as im thinking of getting one in 2 weeks time? And whats the call clarity like too as im fussy with that? Thanks.

I've never had that call problem and i've used most the firmware releases, the call quality is surpisingly good i think it's using a bigger better quality ear speaker than alot of other phones, it's a huge differance & improvement to my k800.

The camera is good enough if you're not a picky cameraphone buyer but not as decent as K800's.

I don't know why but nightshots with my C702 just don't compare to my friend's K800. But mine beats his on total-darkness macro shots.
