Quote from GSM:

"As far as video is concerned, the C905 is still not capable of competing with the market leaders in this respect. The C905 maxes out at QVGA resolution at 30 fps. That is enough for an enjoyable video but there's still a lot to be desired from a high-end cameraphone.

Unfortunately, our beta unit used for this preview doesn't produce photos that are worth publishing. Instead we chose to publish several photos taken by our partners over at MobilMania.cz. You should bear in mind though that their unit was also a beta one and those images are here just for demonstration purposes."

"S prototypem Sony Ericssonu C905 bylo možné natáčet pouze QVGA video. Finální verze by však měla nakonec disponovat vyšším rozlišením VGA. Rychlost nahrávání je 30 snímků za sekundu."

this is a lovely phone. who bloody cares if it record in vga or qvga, etc, etc. it dosent mather, the video quality isnt that good anyway. i have not seen ONE cell pphone who have good video recording, (not even Viewty, it looks like shit compared to a real hand cam)

The nagging comes from those of US who demand more from our cellphones. Many of us WANT: quality photos, video recording, great calender functions, 3.5mm jack with video out. If SE began to oblige those of us demanding users it would NOT leave out those faithful regardless of what they make (Not singling you out but I'd say ur pretty close), AND keep us FANS loyal with our $$ to keep purchasing products.

Nagging? About features we want?!

Remember the T68i (nobody wanted cameras in phones then). BUT they also gave us a Color screen to the mass public.
Remember the T610 (everyone loved it) - but we wanted better pictures from our phones (back then I'd say it was STILL a gimmick).
Remember the K700i (Beautiful pictures that IGNITED the industry) - but critics STILL said it was a gimmick still.
Remember the K750i - that TORE the INDUSTRY a NEW ONE! THIS SHUT UP the critics and FINALLY quality photos could be relied on via your phone.

Remember the W800 - quality music playback and features for music on a cellphone! No longer a gimmick the whinning stopped! Sure the K700 briefly touched on this, but the W800 cealed the deal. Not even Apple & Motorola could do it this good back then!

So come again with your "god what i hate people who nag about new phones who they even have try". It's not 10yrs ago where nobody understood what features were advertised. We KNOW what features are advertised & its not catching up with current avante garde players in the cellular market.

I have to agree with plankgatan. SE are indeed using a new larger sensor and better optics.

Exactly how do WE KNOW its using a NEW sensor? Where is the proof that normal ppl have access too?! I'd say Mizzle & Peter Kay may have access to it but I see nothing from the press release or from SE's site that is easy to find; unless I'm mistaken.

Google translates it to:
"With a prototype Sony Ericssonu C905 was possible only QVGA video film. The final version should, however, ultimately have higher-resolution VGA.
The speed record is 30 frames per second."

(My highlight.)

The GSM arena article was good to read. The WiFI looks very simple to use and the secondary Cam applications sound interesting. Great design.
