It might be. Thats for SE to decide. This will be, in all probability, the last update, so it'll be a nice goodbye gift.
Anyway, its xda thats you should pin your hopes on. A guy has just started a thread claiming he's managed to port the x10's homescreen, widgets and all included, to the x8. He'll post the details soon. Here's a link to the discussion:
