You think that they have no other ways to get the required components? Or was Japan hit again?
They will release the Xperia mini pro soon, and ray too. Arent these phones using japanese components too?

Have you not stopped to think how tough it may be out there in Japan?? Factories houses lives lost entire towns swept away which makes things hard for any country and all you can think about is a phone is delayed. Give them a chance man they are doing quite well considering what has happened cos Arc and Neo are out now. Just think if it was your country?? There are more important things over there to worry about

the reason why they cannot simply move component from Sony factory to another source like Samsung or Chimei or omnivision is because of the qualification process..... when you run out of component from one source.
you cannot expect another source of yours as backup fulfill 100% of the load.

if SE only have one source, it need time to get a new source up....it is not like Tesco/ Carrefour in which you constantly have coke at the shop with quality ensure. they cannot just put the component into the phone. It can be SE fault by placing all component at Japan but its also tough to blame them for that mistake since you can't actually predict Earthquake except the fact japan have long expect they will get a major quake soon.

Xperia mini Pro And Ray is released later so their people can work hard to divert the source by qualifying new supplier to replace whoever at Japan. Similar approach was done by Apple and many company...it depends how strong is their people in planning the diversion of component source.

You are right. But I'm tired of waiting and I want new phone soon too, so I might switch to another more reliable brand like HTC or Samsung. So do many other people and of SE continues with these delays, it will lose even its small audience that was supporting it till the very end. Like me. And the earthquake is not an excuse for me, because I'm not going to wait another 6-7 months just for one phone. And since the other brands have already some offers for me, I'm going to join to their market share. I'm sorry SE, but I have no other option. It seems that the mother nature is against you and I don't want to be against the nature, buying your products.

And just look at the HTC Sensation - it's more than 100 euro cheaper than the Arc in Bulgaria! Same goes to the Samsung Galaxy S II, but there the difference is about 20 euro. Who is going to buy SE phone at that price and such competitors? And what makes me sad is that I see SE dieing very soon...

If SE is still short of components they better stop with Neo & Pro. They better concentrate on the new phones.
On the other hand, SE has always been late.

Other manufacturers have been having problems too cos many parts of theirs are sourced from Japan. And I would not call HTC reliable either.

Anyway back on topic. My Neo battery life I can say more now as I had it since last week. It is the best Android battery life on any device so far that I have had or used. I am on my second day without charge and I still got 40% left its excellent. And yesterday I used the camera extensively and a bit of video sent alot of text browsed the net on and off all day and even had GPS on in the car. Really loving this handset more than any SE product for a long time. No crashing or problems yet and no creaks the build on mine is solid. Nothing I hate about it and I have ordered online a spare battery cover but in silver for a change of style and less finger prints

Wow. The two Neo's I had didn't hold power that long.
I even disabled a lot of stuff to save power, but still... max 2 days...
