have seen posts on other forums about the pink spot issue with 2.3.5 firmware on galaxy s2s-mines on 2.3.3 with no pink spots, upgraded my galaxy s to 2.3.5 and it now has the pink spot on camera.
was going to upgrade to 2.3.5 as it seems to have better battery usage but my s2 wont connect to kies so maybe its not such a bad thing as i use the camera a lot.

Well if it only happens when pointed at a grey or white background like paper then it's not such a big issue. I have not noticed it even when pointed at a grey sky

The pink spot has decreased significantly after upgrading my phone to 2.3.5, can hardly notice it anymore

It also depends on what kind of pictures you take, clouds and skies have several shades of grey and/or white, so one would probably hardly notice a light pink"ish" spot. My husband uses his N8 often to take a quick macro-picture of a document, for work. On a white paper you'd see such a pink spot much better, so for him it would've been a huge issue, he would've returned the phone immediately.

thing is, the pink spot is present even in the Nexux Prime (look at the sample video). I guess it's a white balance issue or something...
About the battery, well I am very dissapointed. Was expecting to last 8h of heavy use (that's what i read somewhere...), instead 3h of 3D gaming will suck 100% of battery. 2D games let it live more, but still.
Installed that battery monitor pro (very light app) and it idles at 65mA (deep sleep). Jumps to 125 when browsing the menu, and 325 when listening to music via Neutron (best SQ). Somehow, I managed to get it to 500+mA once, guess it was while I played Fast Five.
Thinking about installing some app to disable 1 core (if possible) and underclock and undervolt with profiles. But first I need to find an app like that (that lets me set up a profile for each app separately).
Also i run stock 2.3.5 KI3 at the moment. Will upgrade to something better soon.

^ really constructive post there ^
anyways, I'm happy with the performance of the phone, but really unhappy with battery life. It bugs me that you need to charge for 3:30h to get 3h of 3D gameplay. :/
When will your 2000mAh battery arrivel Bono?

also how much did you pay for it?

heh played it a big. Yes it has some nice graphics. But makes your device hot and consumes about 990mA XD (battery monitor pro).
