Does V800 have the ability to create a playlist?
This ability does not exist in K700i/S700i which just sucks too much

on vodafone.se you get the phone for free
24month contract and 199 SEK a month

Ok, so what do you think youīre really paying 199 SEK/month for? SIM-rental?
Thatīs like Saab giving away a car "for free" except you have to buy Saab fuel for an amount equal to the value of the car, and after 24 months pay 350SKR to unlock the fuel system.
Vodafones slave contracts are for fools, i know cause i still have 7 months to go on one and thatīs for a T610 i sold long ago.

but if you bought the phone offline you'd still need to pay for a subscription of some sort to make calls on anyway. So what's the really big difference?

Freedom of choice is THE difference.
No branding, freedom to choose PAYG or contract, you think Vodavone has bad network coverage in your area? (Like in my case)
Fine, change operator!
I could go on, but i think i have made my point

About the playlist:

It is possible to make playlists...
And as a matter of fact--> it works great!
But its easy and the great part is that u can combine videos with mp3's in one list.
This is a function I never saw before on any of my phones. The player is easy to use, you can loop the songs and shuffle them. When you close the phone it automaticly minimizes the music/video player. So it continues to play! Even with videos, you cant watch the videos on the external screen but I like it alot that I can still hear them, this means you dont have to put songs double on your card(in Mp3 and 3gp format, cuz sometimes you want to checkout clips and other times you want to listen music when your phone is closed in your pocket/holster) So this is great functionality that I didnt see before. It is also possible to fast forword and rewind videos(also with mp3's ofcourse) and its is also possible when you close the phone to adjust the volume of the mp'3 thats playing(NOTE: with video's this is not possible, the volumes indicator just freezes--> maybe helped with SW update) and its possible to go to the next/previous song when the phone is closed...(all with the help of the + & - keys on the side of the phone)
Sur_G is very satisfied about the Multimedia player!!

As a Multimedia player I give the V800 an A- (lack of fullscreen video support & when phone is closed its not possbile to adjust toe volume when playing a VIDEO).
But im very happy about it.
(the S700i scored a C+ with me)

Nobody cares here that the V800 with Vodafone is not posible to use MP3 others than the one sold by Vodafone as ringtones, that there is no photo ID on external display, and that again there is no mp3 sms ringtones only the 6 or 7 that SE puts as default? that for me is really a "not buyer item"

You can play any mp3's as ringtones

You have to use Sony Ericsson's DRM Program

wow the media playa is really that great?? thats off the fizzle man!!! Wonder why they limit the features in the external screen?? The external screen can be helpful and great in a way.. than juz showing status etc etc.. maybe their reserving these features for future phones i guess.... anyways... V800 is really a powerful phones.. even tho its not a smartphone.. its great!

Sur_G,
Thanks a lot for your answer... That made the thing much easier for me to decide whether to buy V800 or not.
