I always thought the W800i looked better, but now i agree the K750i looks better. It just much more professional looking, especially when you finally see one in person with your own eyes.

Maybe your posting on the wrong thread then

I personally much prefer the look of the W800i, I prefer the buttons, and the camera module, although it doesn't advertise the 2.0MP cam as much!

I have a gut-wrenching feeling though that it won't come out on orange....... I don't know why, something to do with the fact that SE are not allowing f/w modifications on the W800i.

ive owned dozens of Walkmans tape/cd/dat/md/network
going back before ericsson made GSM mobiles.
So i'm buying the W800 on the strength of the brand that Sony have created, as well as it being a SonyEricsson.

Hold on a second, what's the point of releasing the so-called W800 music phone in September when the D750, that's already out now, is exactly the W800 but in "baby blue" instead of the "orange" colour. Why not release the W800 as well?? The only reason I can think of, for not releasing them simultaneously, is SE's manufacturing capacity not being up to par.

as SE's no88 fanboy, it is unfortunate to note that SE seems to behind the curve lately re: coming to market; I think the financial results will keep showing this... I just sold my P910!!! all my friends were left in shock 'cos I've had it for sooooo long but it seems no replacement in sight. So I'm back to a small phone (K750i) and a PDA (Palm LifeDrive) combination again. this is after almost buying a Nokia 6680 'cos the Series 60 platform has sooooo many apps it's shocking!! But no replacement for the P series.

Oh yeah, I think SE should just take a hit on 1GB MS Duo Pro sticks and just bundle them FREE as a value added package. + The W800 sucks compared to the K750i. (Personal opinion)

Sorry guys & girls... Rant over

ak2g, its worth noting there are differences between the W800i and the D750, rather than simple case colouring.

The first being the W800i has the Walkman branding, 512mb MSPD and better headphones. It also has the flight mode.

The D750 is simply a K750i that looks like a blue W800i. The D750 isnt a Walkman phone, its just a K750i thats branded to T-mobile.

Apologies if this has been mentioned here already, but do you guys think or know whether the w800 will have versions branded at all by the likes of vodafone,, orange etc ?

I hope the fact that it's a walkman phone nobody will be allowed to mess with its firware.

Branding this would be a travesty !

Marlonski
Don't worry SE is not allowing anyone to touch the Walkman branding on the W800. Companies have the K750 to f*** with.
