these phones are cheaper than i expected

Blimey, thats well expensive! So on O2 it's only free if you have a £96 a month contract (ex. VAT) -thats well bad.

Carphone Warehouse have got the stands for the Xperia in now. Well, in the Cambridge and Saffron Walden branches anyway. Also got a tarriff on O2 of £45 a month, free handset, 1200 minutes and unlimited texts which isn't too bad. Hopefully if the stands are there, the handset shouldn't be too long either.

It's only £499 from play.com delivered. I currently pay £10 a month for my T-mobile contract with unlimited 3G. I never get the "free" or "subsidised "handset deals, I much prefer the much lower line rental when you negotiate a renewal without a new handset. I think I win out in the long run. Incidentally at Play they have all the other features listed pretty much spot on as far as I can tell and they say it has an accelerometer.

Yeah someone should really tell Play.com that the X1 does NOT have an accelerometer! It's a bit misleading.

I'll try contact them about the accelerometer.
p.s can't wait until the x1 falls into my hands.

I'm amazed how many people, and companies, still believe the X1 has an accelerometer. It's stated on Play.com, Phones4u, etc. Still, most of them don't seem to know their a**e from their elbow! lol

Well they believe... What can we do about that. Our job is to say it hasn't got accelometer and that's it.. Anyone can believe what they want now. That's what I would say.

I thought the X1 had an accelerometer in it....yall mean to tell me it dosen't really have one now...(Im kiddin...ok bad joke, I know)

I had to say it....Heck, I needed another post under my belt and I didnt have anything else more creative to say about the X1. I think we all have exhausted all our resources and material about the X1 and bascially sitting in waiting mode for the Fedex man or whoever to arrive at our door step. Im stir crazy waiting on this damn thing.

Well reading all this thread will give you almost all (if not whole) info available for X1... Now only thing we need is to buy the phone itself (for those who plan of getting it). I guess then firmware and applications related stuff will begin.
