The future brought back into the present by Oppo. The specs of 2013 Xperia flagship in a 2012 device.

5 inch 1920x1080p IPS screen 441 PPI
APQ8064 Quad Core S4 Pro
2 GB RAM
2500mAh battery
12 megapixel camera
Android 4.1

That screen would look very nice in the dark, but would be pitiful in daylight.
Getting decent brightness on a screen that dense is very difficultm unless they add a massively powerful backlighting system, which would destroy any hopes of decent battery life.

Its cool, but the technology simply isn't mature enough at this stage. the 341PPI of the Xperia V and Xperia S is high enough.

Q1-2 2013 or Q3-4 2013? (I mean, still SE left overs or true Sony?)

Well actually no more S/E leftovers. The T/TX was the last S/E leftover. Xperia V/J are transition phones made under Sony.
So all 2013 phones are "true" Sony devices. Just that the Q3 devices are the real beasts.

Anyway the phablet is expected around late Q2 2013.

Quad Core, 6 inch screen. I don't have any other info as all rumors seem to have dried up

That's a gloriously bad design, all the weight will be focused on the top of the phone...makign it incredibly fatiguing to hold.

That looks to be quite early. Haven't even given a full 12 months before releasing the successor.

SS is jealous about Apple Iphone 5 popularity, so they WILL and ALWAYS try to steal some of that popularity )
and they will also try to make their competitors look bad in the public

This is the reason I don't like SS, their marketing style is quite subjective toward their competitor rather than constructive

exactly, Samsung used to have their Galaxy high-end in mid year why this time it's early ? or it's just an update ? or they're trying to reschedule their high-end road-map ?

and the most important thing for Sony, what Sony will have to compete against them ?
I think Sony should consider make some rescheduling of their own and redefine how many high-end device they should release...

Currently they have two high-end devices, one for each half of the year... I prefer one device only with higher bar spec. and concentrate on it, it will have better support also as it's only one device not two...

Battery capacity should be increased also, they can use some higher capacity batteries, I know these batteries has shorter life compared to normal capacity, but I think and believe having a 500mAh more is better than having 5 months less overall battery life, most peoples these days only have their phones for 1 - 1.5 years ( depending on their contract )

I think Sony should consider also having the exact same device just in different factors, like one normal and one waterproof... and the one I think Sony should consider is a two sizes of the same phone ( everything same ) the only thing changes is screen size + battery... if this is possible without the need for separate carrier/WiFi/BT/Radio certifications this will be great, imagine two high-ends one with 4.2" screen ( same size as arc ) and one with 4.6/4.7" screen ( like Xperia T ) both have same resolution ( 720p ) and everything else the same, even the mother board might also be the same, same external design, the only thing different is display size and battery size...
