I think Sony should consider also having the exact same device just in different factors, like one normal and one waterproof... and the one I think Sony should consider is a two sizes of the same phone ( everything same ) the only thing changes is screen size + battery... if this is possible without the need for separate carrier/WiFi/BT/Radio certifications this will be great, imagine two high-ends one with 4.2" screen ( same size as arc ) and one with 4.6/4.7" screen ( like Xperia T ) both have same resolution ( 720p ) and everything else the same, even the mother board might also be the same, same external design, the only thing different is display size and battery size...

Do I see 2011 Xperias logic here? Same devices but with different screen sizes? Actually, the Xperia Ray is much smaller than Xperia Arc, but they both share the same 1500mAh batteries. So the size of the phone isn't really a problem.

Size isn't only height and width, it also include thickness too.

Just a minor observation: How come they have changed the style of lettering for Xperia on all the latest phones' packaging? The earlier phones of this year had the regular 'XPERIA' style logo on the box front, but for the new releases, it's written like 'Xperia' in a regular typeface.

I think it's probably a mistake. One that really should have been caught by their packaging design team. As far as I can tell they're not trying to phase out the 'XPERIA' for lower cased 'Xperia'. I know everywhere that the logo is presented digitally selectable as text (i.e. on their website, blog etc) it's presented as Xperia as opposed to when presented as an image and on the handsets themselves where they're shown in caps and styled.

The packaging really should be XPERIA rather than Xperia.

@rog,

In your unboxing video, xperia in capitals are written next to the phone(compartment for the accessories). I think they still haven't decided what to do with it..
