^^Yes, But Apple has many first and third party apps that can support it.
For Android, we will need to see more phones using this tech (so the developers can step in) as well as support from GG (Android N?).... it might take a while

I would imagine google is already on it, and iOS apps that supported 3D touch is more than likely will update their android counter version rather quickly.

Remember the Fingerprint scanner? It took them 2 years for it to become a standard, the official Android support from GG is the Marshmallow and its.... coming out by the end of this year (for Nexus....)
I hope GG can speed this up a little bit

hard to say honestly, because finger print scanner doesn't add a whole lot to be a high priority IMO, everyone just wait until it either become more mature (accuracy + speed) or cheap enough to throw into the package without affecting the price too much. Same go with force touch I guess, depends if its really a life changing experience.

@Gitaroo
For that reason sony should also keep ignoring current wireless charging and add more sensible features regarding battery and charging like usb type c and bigger battery.
What i like about apple that i think other manufacturers can learn from is their presentation. they explain so deeply what this and that feature adds to the user and they do make it appear more meaningful to the user and less gimmicky. For example, they use only 12 mp camera but they "cover it with roses" with amazing presentation. With that said, they do walk the talk and do a good job in camera software even if the hardware is not the most advance and do try to add or make it appear like they add only features that are meaningful and not gimmicky even if it is not totally true. Sony can learn from this and invest more in camera software and try to be worlds first not only in cameral megapixle numbers and resolution numbers but also in some other software related features like force touch or a durability feature like stronger front glass - so much more meaningful then ip68.

^Totally agreed
When Apple introduce new useful "gimmick".... They are not just throwing it to the audience face.....
But they were working closely with the developers to show the new values that the new tech can deliver to the consumers.
Take a look at the Apple Pencil, they even invited Microsoft and Adobe to show the usage of the pencil etc
Thats what I want to see from the other manufacturers. I'm not saying the others are bad, but I'd love to see new intuitive features that can enhance my daily usage experience. Apple did a good job yesterday with the iPhone.... However, the Pencil is really expensive....

Sony did attempt on wireless charging on all their verizon models, most looks bulkier and very ugly looking. Huge part of getting Sony phones is really the design tbh, if those features are so important to you, you should probably look else where.... As for Type C usb, I don't know, to meet Z line up, it must be water proof or they would be going backward to flaps. Type C supposedly have a water proof version but it either has something to do with cost cutting or availability issue or the supply has been swallowed up by certain manufacturers. To be fair most phones that come out later this year don't have it neither. I am sure every single companies would love to cram every single features possible into their devices but they still need to design their hardware around a set price with a set profit margin. Who is going to buy a Z5 if it cost 2k? That 5 people? We'll see how long Apple will last if they start selling every new iphone at 2K and 1K off contract even if it packed in with every features you can think of.
Apple presentation is a hit or miss these days, they are trying to follow Steven Jobs foot steps but fail in most cases. Jobs only present things that he is the most confidence with in the most convincing way, like who need a stylus back in 2007.... Their super hyped up consoles killer Apple TV was a joke to watch. Practically spell OUYA 2 all over it. Shopping on your tv ok............

^tvOS is just similar to Android TV nothing news... TBH, I was bored when watching them showing the TV
With better processing power and consoles' exclusive games, I will never trade my real consoles for that
Also, Smart TVs nowadays come with new OS (Android TV etc), I can't see a reason for buying that Set-top box
I wish Sony Mobile can use these kind of collaboration with the developers like their Playstation Division, they invited the top and indie game developers to show off new gameplay using the Features from PS4.
Just found out that the 6s also has Haptic Feedback (like the Watch and the new Trackpad from 2015 MacBooks) which is a really nice touch. Huawei might be the first to use force touch on Smartphone, but Apple is the one that can deliver much better experience. However, I'm a little bit disappointed with the battery in the new IP .... 1715 mAh?? =.=
