How do you know that you're not receiving HSDPA? I'm just curious if you have done any speedtests to see what speeds you get with the 3G+GPS option.

PEOPLE, even when you set 3G+GSM, you DO enjoy HSDPA speeds IF your network has upgraded from 3G to HSDPA...and all this even if you DO NOT get the H icon on your screen. That's why I said that the HSDPA setting (before it gets lost after a reset) appeared to be meaningless. I get download speeds of about 120KB/sec with Wind-Greece which is definitely HSDPA and not 3G.

any other noticeable bugs on this new FW...?

i got the feeling that it solves some of our well known bugs, but rises new bugs on its turf....sigh...

Well, i don't totally agree with that
On my network handovers between GSM and 3G don't go smooth always. So i could use the function to lock the phone to 3G. Ah, whatever... GSM/3G is anyway under a shortcut.

I have to admit that the names on the menu are very confusing. I'd expected

GSM Only (only enabling GSM radio)
GSM/3G (enabling both radio's, so you can access GSM, UMTS and HSDPA)
3G only (enabling UMTS radio only, so you can access UMTS and HSPDA)

Why they named it HSDPA is a clue to me, maybe they needed a visual conformation that the phone supports HSDPA indeed

I'm in Bolivia so only have EDGE (2.5G).
If the only problem is this HSDPA(I really don't know what it is) i will upgrade to the new firmware.
BTW here I pay 1$us/megabit downloaded, the cost is really insane so i only use the internet for dictionary and TrackID. Can you tell me how much cost the 3g in Europe or USA?

Offtopic:

Well, i don't know if your familiar with UMTS in Bolivia, but you can compare HSDPA for UMTS where EDGE for GPRS: It is a enhancement for UMTS networks, where downloadspeeds rises from 384Kbit (UMTS) to 14.4Mbit (HSDPA). Most European networks support 1.8 or 3.6Mbit at the moment, some are already at 7.2mbit.

I pay in The Netherlands 19,50 euro (that's about 28 dollars at current rate) for unlimited data at a speed of 384/32. I think this is average for Western Europe, there are better plans. Without a plan you pay 0,50 - 2 euro per MB, so even more expensive.
