take a landscape shot and then see the different in sharpnes. Close shots are good in both new and old phones.
Idon' know, is this a good or bad camera modul?

Hi

I swopped the CID 49 camera for the older CID 36 camera last night & using the original 5.3 drivers that came with the phone I now have the FULL 4 x zoom back & it saves the pictures with zoom correctly too.

All I have to do now is find & install a decent camera driver on to this phone as the picture quality isnt as great as my old K750I from which I got the CID 36 camera module from.

Ill have a play with it over the next few days & see what I can come up with.

BUMP!!!!

this,many comparasion pictures,focuses on SPU JPEG compresion
it takes with w810,manual focus(1.1),night scene(bilinear filter disable),same iso,same shutter speed,exactly same place!

Normal=clasic compression
Fine=Adaptive compression(SPU)

-Default value(1.0)-
Fine:

Normal:

-High compression(1.1)-
Fine:

Normal:

-Low Compression(4.0)-
Fine:

Normal:

all of original pictures(zip):

or
http://evilshare.com/3620cdc8-75d2-102a-847b-00a0c993e9d6

conclusion are :
Fine= sharper picture,but......in 1.1(high comp) jpeg artifact are looks harder
and also, what is the advantages of using adaptive jpeg compression??

comment please, i think it is important to discuss about compression..........

its saves the 4x zoomed pic at full resolution of the pic

attached are two pictures after changing the camera module
earlier the landscape images were not coming sharp now its better.
Used K750i, CID49, RED, Camera Module from CID36, Camdriver zuza 2007 ...

And what firmware do you use? Or does 4x zoomed pic at full resolution depend on the driver??
For picture quality the message is quite clear: I will go for a CID36 Cam Module!!
Come on, guys: Who could sell me such an old cam module??

i am using FS=R1AA008; Main=R1BC002
not in should should save in full resolution if you zoom at 4x in every cam driver
and yes i have tested the old cam is definitely better.
yes the old cam clicks better pictures in low light conditions.

compression is set to 88% for normal and fine (EM/ENM) mode but this value can be variuos because our phones has variable-quantization which was described here

stingjoel
the only one new thing is disabled filtering in no-nightmode shots. i'm not working on this driver anymore. here is last version www.sendspace.com/file/4s2mdb
