My X10's battery couldn't survive today either.
What are you doing with the phone? With Bluetooth and GPS turned off I can go a whole day recording video, taking pics, installing and running apps, playing games etc. I got down to 8% after 11 hours of usage and that's the lowest my phone ever got. Otherwise I'm usually at my desk and charge the phone when I'm not using it, there is no question that it keeps a charge longer then my c905 did, I've been impressed with the battery.

I really don't know.
I was busy all day long, so I couldn't play with it. Eventough battery drained. Something is wrong.
BTW, phone gets a little bit warm.
I have only fully charged it 3 times.

After a few full charges and run-downs it should improve. I have an old spare battery which seems to last longer when in the X10.
Plus, don't forget this thread.

A (possible) solution to your problem (back on page 273), if you've not already solved it..

I noticed that you haven't posted anything related to this problem lately.
I hope you didn't allready sold your x10's because of this
If you read this, it would be nice to hear if you found a solution.

hi,
after the first 30 pages of dribble and complaints i'm sorry but gave up reading any more.
Like the phone and think may get one, however:
being google based, does this phone track everything i do and record it prosperity to spam me with adverts every 2seconds? We know they hold everything you search for etc for 6months on servers so can 'streamline advertising especially for you'
sorry if asked before, too many pages and no idea when the real thing started to get talked about.
thanks

I can't find Bplayer on the market?
My bad, the app is called
bTunes, not bPlayer. It was a couple of bucks on the market.
As for battery usage, mine has definitely gotten better between going through a number of complete charging cycles, as well as using apps like
Startup Auditor,
Advanced Task Manager, and
JuiceDefender. I've also turned off most background updating in apps other than Gmail, Calendar and Contacts (everything else I can update manually when needed).
Unfortunately I can't get good usage stats as I tether while at work, and thus the phone is constantly being charged. Weekends work better for such testing.

Guys, regarding the battery, I was reading on http://www.xperiax10.net/ that it takes about 6 charge cycles before the battery performance improves. One of the users said that he had read quite a few years ago and used the following battery break in procedure. When you first get a new phone, you should let the battery drain until the phone shuts off. Then you charge the phone in the OFF position for 16 hours. It's very important that the 1st charge is done with the phone OFF! The 2nd to 4th or 6th charges alternate, ON & OFF. I have done this procedure on all my SE P series phones since 2002 and it does make a difference. Some experts say tlat Li-Pol batteries don't need formating and that they have about 350 to 500 charge cycles before they're done. Not so! With my P990 that I've had for 3 years now and with very heavy usage, (some days I charged it twice) and it's stil alive. Question: Can the X10 charge in the OFF position? The blog author said lt can't.
