whoa! I didn't know that. i got my phone for about a week and a half now. I didn't do the battery procedure, so is it too late to do it now?
I'll will try to let the battery drains and phone turned off. Should I charge it when it's just turned off or wait an hour or more then charge it. Should I charge it while the phone on or off?
any advice would be great.

Also I agree to those who said that the phone would be much better as a music player if there are media buttons during music playback on the phone lock screen. I just hope the upcoming updates, whether android or SE, includes it.

Just a question, is the what type of updates is available? when i connect my phone to the computer, PC companion pops up with a software update check (phone is up to date). I'm wondering if there's a Difference between a SE x10 update and a Andriod update? or is the same?

@ Big_D, I don't think it's too late to use the battery formating procedure because I didn't mention that we should do this procedure about every 3 months, according to the article I had read 8 years ago. As soon as the phone shuts off, you can charge it. No need to wait. My question in my previous post, "Can the X10 charge while it's OFF?" because I read that as soon as you plug in the clarger, the phone turns on. As I don't have a X10 yet, I can't check thiat. I should be getting a X10 by the end of the month, when it goes on sale in my area. As a matter of fact, I just saw the first X10 commercial on TV about 1 hour ago, so I'll have it sooner maybe.

It turns itself on when you plug the usb cable.
Stays on a state until you enter your pin.

I'm at 63 hours and 22% now. Guess I won't hit the 70 hours because now it starts to drain faster, but that's almost too good to be true. Let's see how far I get with whole day usage of twicca tomorrow. ^^

Just been putting the phone through its paces. I downloaded two 65 - 70mb podcasts, streaming one to my Bluetooth headphones while downloading the other. Watched Timescape update flawlessly with only very slight lag while updating and scrolling to the bottom tile (tile 50). I guess the data was being hogged by the download.

Browser rendered photos from one of the picture threads instantly.

Pleased as punch Nothing halted or paused. Multi-tasked flawlessly, although I expected nothing less.

It really is a performer.

What kind of battery charging procedure did you perform when you got your x10? What settings do you have and what apps do you use to monitor/control battery usage? Thanks in advance

I charged it every evening overnight, whether it was at 2 or 20% so to say, it died on me Saturday evening, then charged it again overnight and now it's running since Sunday morning.

I use TaskPanel Lite to autokill Moxier Mail and VZnet (a German Facebook ripoff included in my o2 branded handset) and close the other apps I used. I don't kill all processes.

Oh, and I'm on 2G only as my network coverage only gives me 3G in larger cities and not in my village anyway.

@xell

Thanks for the information. I should get 3G coverage where I live, but since I work at home it's not necessary to have 3G on all the time. I intend to only turn it on when I go out. Good to know that a true battery cycle doesn't really matter. I have found that it hasn't mattered on my previous phones, but there's always conflicting information and people who follow the old ways before lith-poly batteries became standard....
