I was gonna get one from Expansys, they are holding one for me until I call them shortly, but havnig decided to get one I just got it from INKINO a short while ago so will cancel the Expansys one
My very first impression sitting on the bus back to the office was... oh no, what have I done. where is my TyTN!
I really don't think I will get on with the P990 and my second thought was I much prefer the M600 for usability
I'm going to give it a fair go but I suspect I will end up with the TyTN and M600... we'll see

@spawn, my P990 on messaging is sam eas yours. My M600 has some data on it at the moment (Handy Safe) which I need to move to the P990 before I can Master Reset it - and then I can see what it has for messaging. Will get back to you later this evening.

Cheers Jah, mucho appreciated...pm me if you want mate. I just find it starnge that its missing this bit in the messaging menu and also when you go to a contact and press more then send a message and its only showing mms and sms....
Just hope this isnt what expansys were talking about when they said the first unit were going to be missing push capability

@ Gabster
Mine inserted a number instead of a letter the first time I tried searching for a contact. TBH, this would have been a real problem for me, and was the reason I ended up sending back a WM5 phone a few months ago.
However, and this is really weird - it didn't happen again. Every time I search now, it works as it should (IMHO). Not sure what's goinmg on there, but I'm glad it seems to be sorted...
@ everyone with P990
A couple of things I haven't found yet - I wonder if anyone else has:
1. How do you change the "flip-open" action to something else? For example, when I open the flip, I want Handy Day to launch...
2. How do you display the clock all the time in flip-closed screensaver mode? I often don't wear a watch, and used to rely on a quick glance at my P900 to tell the time...

@masseur
interesting. The TyTN and M600 are similar in that they are probably more screen touch driven than the P990. I actually like the flip closed mode of the P990 and this is because I prefer the traditional phone factor. For PDA functions, like sophisticated PIM I prefer PalmOS + Agendus (on my Clie TH55). So my current plan is a two device strategy - P990 for mainly look-up and some data entry but the Clie TH55 for the heavy PIM functions (complex notes management and to dos etc and only used in the office/work). Now perhaps with Agenda Fusion or similar you can cover the P990 and PDA funcions with a TyTN (but I prefer the TH55's 480x320 res screen). Oh well..just sitting waiting for that TyTN to arrive!

they all have their pro and cons, of course, and I'll write more on that when I'm not also trying to do some work

If you are getting a 680euro phone, you don't want to just quick glance it!!! You want to drool all over it and make love to it lol!
