Samsung's new phone.
12mp,3x optical zoom and HD video. Satio finished.
This is Samsung you're talking about. All that fancy stuff might sound nice but it will come out crappy. And anyway Satio has VGA which is more then enough and is a smartphone. Samsung is the one on the bad side.

Don't wanna sound like a sceptic or anything, especially this early into a rumour, but f6.3-18.9 sounds really REALLY unexceptional to someone who does a bit of photography.
If nothing, the phone's gonna be pumping up the ISO at anything less than ideal light.

The INNOV8 was a near perfect device for Symbian levels, but in selling terms it was a fluke.

Satio has 5.9mm focal length, anyway...
And Pixon12mp is not a smartphone... While Satio IS...
After seeing GSMArena, looks like Satio has the same processor like Omnia HD, and both of them is even faster than Flagship N97... Read
here.
Satio used ARM Cortex-A8 600 MHz, so maybe satio are using TI OMAP35x
Key features of TI OMAP3530:
OMAP35x processors are the first to market with the highperforming
ARM® Cortex™-A8 core offering 600 MHz for four
times performance improvement over today’s ARM9 devices.
Laptop-like Performance at Handheld Power Levels
The OMAP35x processors leverage TI’s SmartReflex™ technologies
to dynamically control voltage, frequency and power
based on the device activity, modes of operation, process
technology and temperature variation. This capability lowers
the overall power consumption and lengthens a battery life
OMAP3530 – this superset device has the integrated
Cortex-A8 core, DSP core, graphics engine, DaVinci
technology and peripheral set in a single chip to bring highperformance,
power-efficient productivity and multimedia
applications to life
High Performance Multimedia Capabilities
• Multiformat video processing up to HD quality 720p
MPEG4 decode at 30 frames per second
• First application processor integrating openGL ES 2.0
graphics acceleration to more than 10 million polygons
per second
• Integrated display subsystem with LCD and TV interface
up to high definition resolution
• The camera interface subsystem supports CCD and CMOS
Interfaces and provides dedicated hardwire for video
capture preprocessing
• OpenGLES 2.0 compatible graphics engine
and DaVinci™ technology for digital video capabilities
Satio also has Jazelle, which is a technique that allows Java Bytecode to be executed directly in the ARM architecture as a third execution state alongside the existing ARM and Thumb-mode. That's why when running any J2ME apps (*.jar), old 206Mhz ARM processor (also has Jazelle) used in C905 are faster than Nokia.. You could see some benchmarking around here... Now we would expect much faster Java performance in Satio

I really hate it when manufacturers stuff a bunch of logos and tech characteristics on the back. Looks messy (referring to the Samsung). Anyway, optical zoom on mobiles is usually crap, but let's see how this one turns out.
