No, can't believe. Display maybe yes, but not that problems with the lags. It struggles/stutters sometimes when I play music or videos for example.
Could you take a pic from your Z1 in statusbar?

king-james - if the display is bad, what makes you think the other components aren't too? it could be a whole load of crap wrong with it. my Z1 has experienced NO lags and i play a lot of music, videos, games, movies, streaming and not. I think you have a bad unit and if you want to give it another try, the i recommend exchanging it.
as requested, here is a shot of my screen again. first status/notification bar. it was tricky to get the white balance correct, even with my dSLR! I tried many times to try to match what I saw with my eyes. both are at 100% brightness. 2nd photo doesn't look as bright cause i had to lower the exposure so the background would come out focused. otherwise it would have been an overblown highlighted mess
and this is cause my wallpaper is mostly white/light colors and she's cute as hell. so I thought, why not? it shows that there isn't a yellow tint to my screen
To be honest, these pics don't even do my screen justice. it simply looks better in person and it's difficult to capture the nuance in color temp due to white balance correction. I took them with my dSLR but i didn't photoshop them (not installed yet).. so that's the best i could do on a 10 yr old camera
Rest assured, in person, the whites are much brighter and whiter.. especially in the 2nd photo.

I didn't say Z1 is bad phone, it's just not for me. So I don't need to exchange it, it wouldn't make me happy, but I hope you be. And yeah, she looks sweet.

as i said, you should go with the device that makes you happy! but who are you kidding? even if you find one that makes you happy, it only lasts til the next new device gets released! haha
but clearly, if Z1 doesn't tickle your fancy then you should use something else. everyone should be happy with their phone and that is the MOST important thing.

crap, I think I lost them all when I did my first upgrade, I remember there was a video that came with the phone but I notice that it is gone now

I didn't but they are definitely not there after the update, which I was surprised. Can someone upload them if they are not too big
update: I think I have found them, yeah still in my phone, but those are not what I am looking for. Could it be region specifics?
