This video shows that PDAF autofocus is really good (altough digital stabilization is sometimes too slow on the edges and causes distortion, the image is "floaty"). In terms of picture quality it's a different story. From gsmarena, M5:

M5's picture is softer, has less details (look at the trees), it's a so a bit too yellow and dim, it doesn't really look like it was sunny day. Z5 is worse than M5 in terms of quality because there's much more digital noise that kills many details.
