upgraded successfully last night ... had the problem with the phone crashing after initial switch on after the update.
BUT ... now the interface is whiz fast and the camera completely fixed. Media player is MUCH faster and the vibra response on the touch buttons is awesome.
Loving this firmware and now lovin my phone again....
any further fw will be a bonus.
GG
Hey, happen exactly the same to me. After updating I switched it on, it showed the first sonyericsson screen and then the screen turned black. I thought I might have push the power button somehow (but I can't remember I did it) so I remove the battery and switch it back on again.
Now, I'm much happier than before!! it still jerk when loading up my 7GB music, but in media player, browsing through artists/albums/songs are much much quicker (acceptable speed now!) and viewing photos gives a zoom in, out and in transition effect during photo change. Very cool!! I find the animated wallpaper is quicker too (may be as quick as W910i now?) and I really like the vibration touch keys!!
p.s. volume key is now working when/after listening music + taking photo with zoom!!
though it's a long wait. thanks sonyericsson!!

Do it via cable. It's safe.
1. Off your phone.
2. Remove and reinsert battery. (Do not switch on)
3. Run SEUS Update Service
4. Select K850
5. Follow on-screen instructions.

They should give us an option to SORT photos in the Media Centre. Like when we view photos from File Manager.

@leesanhua:
- Download Sony Ericsson update service from the Sony Ericsson website.
- Install it.
- Open it.
- Do as it says. Remember, we aren't using our phone here.
- Firstly it will search for available updates, then choose your language. After this choose which phone you have. This is all very simple and straightforward.
- After this, instructions will come up on how to connect your phone. You must remove the battery of your phone, and then put it back in. I believe this is to make sure the phone is completely turned off.
- Then, plug the USB cable into the computer (not your phone yet).
- Then, on your phone, hold down the 'C' button, and while still holding the 'C' button down, plug the other end of the USB cable into your phone.
- When the computer tells you to, you may let go of the 'C' key.
- After this, the program will identify your phone and tell you whether any updates are available.
Is there anything more you need to know?
