Really ? and there was i thinking what a stupid idea - this is a business phone, and not aimed at gaming.
Maybe you should try buying a Nokia N-gage if you want gaming buttons ?
No offence Etaab, but the N-Gage is pretty sh1t for gaming.
Im my view, if the P-Series only meant for business, then the biggest thread on Esato would not be one based on people wanting to watch videos on it?.
Even the people with "normal" mobile phones like to play games etc, so why not people with a P-series.
I understand that is is aimed at business users but its not only business users that buy it.

Sainty,
Thanks for the heads up.
We are also getting rumours locally that the P990i is also going to be available here at the end of January 2006. I hope that it is true.
The best option will be for Sony Ericsson to give us an official launch date to stop the rumours instead of a very broad launch time of Q1 2006.

It looks like they are waiting for Nokia's N92 release so that we can compare the 2 ;-)

@ Nozza & Mad_Bob - no there is no such rule, and i never said there was, so you're the stupid ones to assume i said so. The point is, is that the P series are integrated devices, smartphones. If they were to add gaming buttons to the phone, it would lose its appeal to business users who will be the primary consumers who'll invest so much money in such an expensive phone. Gaming buttons would put them off buying it, and make the phone appeal to a younger audience.
The fact it plays games, mp3 files or other media types is nothing to do with which band of consumer will buy the handset, since most phones have the same functions anyway. The point is, if you aim the device at a specific audience, only that audience will be most appealed to buy it.
You've both made rather large assumptions that i said because its a business aimed devices, it should only be used for that purpose. I never said that, in future please attempt to understand someones post before replying in such a poor manner.

Nothing else to add huh ? because im right. As for being a child, well, i think that you're referring to yourself, since you're the one that has resorted to insults rather than being able to discuss the subject in an adult manner.
I dont think the P990i is the phone for you. Maybe you should buy a PSP ?

Oh dear.
Let me refresh your memory son.
I said I'd like to see some game-usable buttons. Some agreed and you came in with:
"Really ? and there was i thinking what a stupid idea - this is a business phone, and not aimed at gaming."
That was the first mention of the word "stupid", the first putdown, the first piece of sarcasm. And you continued from there.
If you can't work out why anyone might find that a bit childish then what more can one add?
If you want to carry on arguing about it in your soilt-teenage-like manner then do so. I can't be arsed personally.

Unfortunately you seem to be unable to differentiate between the context i used the word stupid in. I was referring to the notion that the phone should have gaming buttons, of which it is IMHO a stupid notion. SE or no other company would ever release such a device with such buttons unless they intended the phone to be aimed at a young audience. Thats my opinion. You used the word in the context of an insult to my intelligence, and then you continue to do so by referring to me as a child, and now calling me "son", almost talking down to me and assuming im a lesser than you.
As for me continuing from there, well that was you who posted in a childish manner by telling me to shut up, calling me a child, and then stating you find it boring. You're also assuming im arguing in a spoilt teenage manner.. Read the posts above, its all there in black and white, unless you edit it out.
Im certainly not here to argue, but if you find something offensive simply because someone does not agree with you (regarding gaming buttons), then is there any need to be so defensive ? We're all entitled to our opinions, but you're verging almost into hysterics..
