From 2.8 driver and 2.9 driver which both i have tried it. I was found that the 2.8 driver do more sharper than 2.9 driver, when the flash is on. Since 2.9 ISO is reduce to 320, there is less noise can be seen, but the photo become more darker. Besides that, the picture taken using 2.9 driver seen do not do well in white balance ( flash on ), the picture got little bit yellow in color.. but now i'm using 2.8 driver, overall it is good and better than the 2.5 driver. (^.^)

Hope that incoming driver will have more improvement in contrast, white balance. Anyway, thx a lot.

hi
kopritis you can turn the xenon flash always work in light and night
I don't think it's good idea. I don't know how to say in technical term, but xenon flash is designed to give very strong light in very short time and can not turn on for a long time. It will break the flash lamp or burn your phone.

MEGAGHOST means "always work" not "always turn on". In some situation, the flash light is needed even the light condition is good. So it's good to have an option to "force flash on".
O_o Oops, sorry MEGAGHOST, my bad reading. Then I agree about force flash feature. Should be useful for sure

xenon forcing is possible at 99%
more info in:

- register b
- seq_set_prop_e_4
- seq_get_prop_17

in seq_init
$sb 04
#COM_EVENT(5a, ...)

and small changes in seq_get_prop_17 should always force xenon

GOOD JOB Pedro!

Really like your review, its better than mine.
An actually i've said to w0ng:

Here's the pictures I've taken this afternoon...

You can't compare the pics actually, as I said on the post there, the light conditions varies a lot..
To compare the quality of the pictures taken by diferent drivers, you have to reproduce the same conditions every sample you take [basic rules of a scientific test], or at least the closest you can get. For that you'll need a controled enviroment, artificial ilumination, shot always from the same position, etc etc etc...

Anyway, I'll wait Kopritis 3.2, than I'll make a new test, maybe this time a more acurate one....

And thats truth... to compare things we have to do a scientific test, reproducing the same conditions
that little difference in light could have caused Kop driver to get darker

anyway, I'm waiting Kop 3.2 than I'll make a better test =]

Hi, I decrease the FPS to only 20 FPS, and it's far more controlable zoom, but video result will not comparable to 25 or 30 FPS, but still some improvement compared stock driver.

I know it won't be as good as 30 fps... but that zoom bug, and stop delay are really annoying... the zoom I don't care a lot, cause use zoom in such a bad resolution is terrible ^^
But stoping the video on the right time is crucial...

I see, anyway if that is your concern I already make an camdriver that operate exactly like you want (cause I'm personally also almost never using zoom), it's set at 25 FPS on normal shot and 20 FPS for night shot, everything can be stop at a time but sometime it lag just 1 second only. Also zoom can be done with little lag.

One caution, don't try your video just after phone started, cause the processor still busy doing other thing such read your phonebook, SMS and M2 card, so it will lag very badly, just wait about 1 or 2 minutes after phone switched on, and everything will be fine. later I'll post on here.

wow! so many things done... but the fact is still there.. K800/810 video is hard to control... so many dangling webs put together...

i guess ill hafta stick it out with 2.9, the one that has normal vid setting.

ill be waiting for further developments... just here to be a critic

Hm.. I think the last driver I'm posted shoud be an 'normal' in term responsiveness, except it has 20 FPS as a bonus instead 10 FPS default

Yeah, this is really going somewhere!

About the video thing.. maybe, just maybe, when we get the access to MAIN as we do on FS.. than maybe we'll be able to do something about video.

Till there, the only acceptable mod is increasing [b]just a little bit[b] the fps.

I wonder where is the guy who said "35 fps without bug"
hehe

Afffffff

what a bullshit!
GSM arena review is crap!
http://www.gsmarena.com/sony_[....]50_vs_nokia_n95-review-162.php

They took paiting shoots!
Man what a bad idea they had....

Not a good comparison at all

why don't they take pictures in motion?
why don't they take pictures at night, on the street?
why don't they take pictures in a party?
why don't they take pictures that can actually reveal something?

^^
