O2 said my K850 was delayed until 15th - but it turned up today! Great surprise for the weekend. Haven't played much but looks good and buttons & pad seem fine.

Hi people, recieved my order from o2 about 1pm and absolutely love the phone so far!

For all those people who are worried about fingerprints i advise you buy one of these!

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/K850i-K[....]QQcategoryZ20345QQcmdZViewItem

I have posted a couple of pics of my K850 in the case. it fits perfect and has every cut out in exactly the right place. Also seems to be a very rigid design so i feel quite safe that it is bump proof!

I can also confirm that the phone accepts 4gb m2 memory cards. Ordered myself one last week from www.mymemory.co.uk for £37 delivered (went for Sandisk as i have always used these instead of the Sony ones)

Once formatted in the phone it reads as 3904mb free so plenty of room for pics, videos and music.

Any other questions feel free to ask.

Chris

p.s. there is no stand-by clock. not a big issue for me though as iv used a w810i for the past 18 months.

@Ricky D
is it because it's vodafone branded that you think it's not going to do it for you or is it the phone overall?-it's very sad to hear you say that.

Still think you will trouble with the touch sensitive keys with that case - looks like its sits right on them!

Confession:

God, Please excuse me if my first comments toward the K850 at the press conference were too harch !!!!

........................

this is by far, the most intuitive phone i have ever had. it was released today in Dubai, by two store (Axiom Telecom, and Fono). i got the call, and i went and got the blue trimed handset. it is amazing.

the touch buttons at the bottom of the screen are just amazingly responsive. for any person reading my post, the three white dots on the screen, are not the magic. you have to litteraly touch the screen on the word exactely. and voila, your orders are fulfilled.

Pros:
the screen is very good
output sound through speakers is very decent
Camera is very good
Video recording is very good actually.
the over all phone is a pleasant experience.

cons:
motion sensing is rubbish. (don't believe me? try the marbels 3d game)
the whole phone is a dust magnet

to all Se fans, in the coming days, i'll conduct my own personal mini K850 experience review. with pics and all.

SE... thank you

@gola

I don't think that SEUS will update my firmware to a generic firmware is what I meant. As far as I'm aware it's not something that SEUS does. I apologise if that came across in any way than how I meant it.

I did just have a heart attack with my phone. I unplugged it from my PC and then the Media manager couldn't (and still can't) find any of the 500-odd songs I have on my 4GB M2 that I took out of my K800i. On top of that, when I turned the camera on the shutter refused to open. I struggled with it for a few minutes and went through the service tests to test the camera and the shutter tried to open but only opened half-way, it got stuck! I clicked it on and off a few times with the service test functions and it seemed to clear the jam. But very worrying seen as though it's only been on less than 3 hours! The media browser also can't find any of my photos that were on the card when it was in my K800i. The old style file manager can find everything but it's a long way round in the menu system and the old file manager doesn't respond to the accelerometer like the media browser does. I'm deeply thinking about taking into a Vodafone shop tomorrow morning and getting it changed for a different K850, to see if it's a general fault or just mine. It just doesn't seem right to me.

Has anybody else experienced any problems similar to mine??
