Dude its a PHONE for christ sake. Remember the ONLY reason the iPhone has such a large screen is because its a MEDIA device first and foremost; phone second.

the range of 2.3-2.8inches is the threshold for smartphones - even touchscreen ... anything larger presents an issue of carrying a phone in a pocket or an attache case or "man-purse" lol which really is no such thing in my opinion.

I don't need anything larger than 2.5inches ... so long as the resolution, the pixels are incredibly bright & clear and it can resist direct sunlight - the latter an inherent issue for ALL touchscreen phones. I STILL want to carry it in my front Chino pocket.

totally agree with you.

I would only recommend SE to bring out screen as big as iPhone when PS phones comes around because we might need those big screens for gaming and entertainment.

Prom1: Agreed. 2.8 is definitely sufficient. Anything larger just makes the device needlessly bigger. The iPhone, while thin, has a gigantic footprint.

I've seen lots of talk in the last few pages about the screen being VGA. That's been the rumor all along, but is this now a confirmed spec? VGA would be wonderful.

I mean, what we have right now is already good enough to watch movies in good quality. I think SE should take the next step up to Bravia screens instead, since it makes more sense in the difference. What would happen if they put Bravia in and VGA screens out? I think the difference would be very minimal and would cause a stir in the Bravia market itself.

Might as well use OLED screens LOL

C`mon you cant be serious on this one.. maybe you havent seen iphone to claim such rubish. iphone can be carried in jeans pocket just fine. I am not a fan of 10cm plastic above and on the bottom of the screen like you (i guess).

If you are carrying a 2,8" of P5`s with bunch of plastic around it, you might rather try 3,5 without the plastic around it (same size of the phone then), does that make sense or would you still rather like to have 2,8 or less?

SE might make a good phone, but anyone who is into multimedia and has tried iphone, will surely pass.
