Never listen these kind of things. Get what you like. When i was going to buy Aino, many people said "buy black cause white is girlish" etc etc, but i didn't care & bought white Aino

If you are used to T9 and want a smaller form factor, go for X10 mini. If you are unsure, wait until mini pro comes out and compare both? See if you can go and try both models somewhere and decide which you like best
