That video looked interesting. The Arc showed vibrant colours but poor brightness & poor whites

I hope it's not just the purchase of an underwhelming phone that has lead to all this hatred.
My previous 2 phones were HTC, and they weren't THAT special.
The fact that you're so happy with the DHD actually gives me some hope for the Arc. They share a lot in common.
I doubt the Arc will ever be able to be OC'd to 1.5Ghz though.....
SE hasn't delivered for years and you said it "hope". Thats all I ever see on here people that live in
hope I find it hilarious how every time a phone is announced by se you all get excited just to be let down again and again. Do some people ever learn? It's hilarious to watch!
If you think HTC isn't that special then go with cheap shoddy plastic se with zero support that you have to wait 2 years for an update. I'll stick with HTC and already have everything you haven't got

That video is sadly flawed, especially when showing blacks and whites. They need to re-do it with manual exposure.
When doing such tests with auto exposure, the luminance values are not representative of what you may see with a naked eye.

Problem is that HTC don't have everything I want. I much prefer physical buttons over capacitive, including the camera button. I also prefer a 480 x 854 screen over 480 x 800 (I like the idea of 16:9 on the phone). There ARE good reasons to go for a DHD, mainly the MSM8255.
For me, the Arc has all the things I like in the X10, + all the things I like in the DHD, + a few extras.
I'm not overly concerned about when updates are released.
at least can't get any worse in that regard.
Having
's customisation essentially amount to skinning + some widgets is a good thing.

Except that hallon is not vivaz 2 pro. But other than that, I agree
