^ that is the first one without heavy blur towards the edge of the frame... he got lucky with the optics.
Nice and sharp overall.. much, much better than the hyped 920 "pureview" ... the 1020 deserves to carry the brand name.

Hmm, from a very brief look at the 5MP and 38MP samples it is very obvious that it's clearly worse than the 808 PureView. Review should've mentionned that. The 808 PureView could compete directly with enthusiast dedicated cameras. This cannot !
P.S: Sony Xperia Z1 offered superior photographic results !

I just don't understand it, people are saying here and in other areas and sites its not great. Yet, people are saying its brilliant on other sites as though its the best camera on a phone ever.
Some say its better than a DSLR, others say its total rubbish.
Now I cant make my mind up. The full size images are sharper than the 808, but look more fake. There is more noise, but people say its better because of it. What on earth is going on !?

I don't get it either. It makes good pics but the pixel-pickers will never be satisfied.

No way does it beat a DSRL. Not a chance on a mobile. I have read the reason why this phone has 2 gig ram is cos it needs the extra ram to run the Nokia Smart Cam app. Yet the app is still slow in usage for shutter speed. The OS doesn't need 2 gig ram as performance wise there is little difference.
